A Couple More Candles

These candles are some I made for Chrstimas gifts for a couple of my co-workers last year.  Again, I just found the posts left in "draft" status!

Another Candle!

Looking through my post list, I've found a few drafts that I've never finished.  Here is the first one.  I love making these candles and am getting ready to make more for Christmas gifts.  I LOVE the colors in this one!

I made it for a friend's birthday and here is the gift bag I made to go with it.

The "Celebrate" is a sticker that just matched this paper really well.  Very simple, but super fun!

Thanks for checking in with me!

Getting In The Christmas Spirit!

Hello!  I hope you had a good Thanksgiving and aren't still feeling too full!  If so, it's time to get into your craft room and exercise......your creativity!

This week at My Sheri Crafts, Sandy has asked us to show a little Christmas spirit with "Old Fashioned/Vintage Christmas Cards or Projects".  Well, what's more old fashioned than a sleigh ride "in a one horse, open sleigh"?
The image is a cut file from Cricut's Christmas Cards cartridge and I welded a square around it to frame the block.  The snowflakes are all cuts from various Cricut cartridges and the one in the tree is the inside of one of the others.   Inside I sprayed just a quick squirt of frost, hoping it would look like snow.  I don't really like how that turned out, but I guess it's not too bad.   I've added some navy blue vellum paper to hide he cord.

To add some "feet" to the block and give room for the cord I glued on some empty tape rolls from my ATG gun!
Here is it lit up, before I added the "feet".

I hope you'll come over and check out all the other beautiful inspiration and join in the fun!

An Old Bag

Good Morning!!  We have a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown today!  We are sponsored by Lily Patch Boutique and our theme is "Shopping"!  Now we all know that a "must have" for a shopping spree is just the right purse!

The image is Digi Darla's "Pick A Purse", colored with Sprectrum Noir markers.  The papers are all scraps, the front sentiment stamp is from KStamps and the inside stamp is from Stampin' Up.

I thought this was a fun sentiment, but it will sure have to go to someone with a sense of humor!  :-)

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you'll come on over and check out the rest of the teams creations and join us!

I've entered these challenges:

Crafting from the Heart - anything goes
Aud Sentiments - Tic Tac Toe plus a sentiment (patterned paper, digi stamp, favorite color-blue)

My First Foiling Project!

Hello!  I'm so excited to share this card with you today!  A few months ago I found some foil sheets on clearance so I picked them up.  I didn't know what I was going to do with them, but hey, they were on clearance!  So this week I got out my Your Story machine {also found on clearance at Wal-Mart  :) } and used the laminating feature to try foiling a digi stamp.  It worked!!!!  I'm seeing lots of potential here!!!

I then cut "Merry Christmas" from my Cricut DS subscription and foiled that, too.  I added a few drops of glue here and there and sprinkled some white glitter over them to make it look like snow.  The white snowflake button has been in my stash awhile.  I think it's from The Paper Studio, but not sure.

This card is for this weeks challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  We are sponsored by
                       http://www.drsdesigns.com/
and this is their digi image.  Our challenge this week is the always fun Tic-Tac-Toe.   I used the middle row across.  And by the way, the dark blue frame is the negative left after I cut out a Spellbinders scalloped oval!

I hope you'll join us this week, but be sure to go checkout all the great inspiration of the rest of the team this week!

Thanks for stopping by!
